I have not heard alot from the MSM about the Compassion Forum (the brainchild of Faith in Public Life) which aired Sunday on CNN.
I found these words by Eboo Patel from a collaborative of Newsweek and the Washington Post interesting:
Obama (finally!) discussed his positive experience with Islam in Indonesia. He described it as a tolerant faith which lived comfortably with other religions, in a society where women had freedom and dignity. He concluded by saying that it was clear to him that Islam, like other religious traditions, had much to offer the modern world.
Finally, according to Obama: America is a Christian nation, a Jewish nation, a Buddhist nation, a Hindu nation, a Muslim nation, an atheist nation, etc.
"And yet, John McCain refuses to learn from the failures of the Bush years. Instead of offering an exit strategy for Iraq, he’s offering us a 100-year occupation." -Obama
"On national security, Senator Obama would rather rehash the past than look forward with resolve to address fundamental challenges and opportunities we have today to secure our future. He has embraced an irresponsible policy of withdrawing our troops from Iraq without regard for the conditions on the ground, the advice of our military commanders or the consequences of failure, which his own top advisor called unrealistic." -McCain
Take a look at this Imitator:
Just days after John McCain all but locked up the GOP presidential nomination, The New York Times today published a story suggesting he had an affair with a lobbyist eight years ago. Convenient timing, right, considering that they probed him about this last December. Why the story now?
McCain, 71, and the lobbyist, Vicki Iseman, 40, both say they never had a romantic relationship. But to his advisers are said to have warned them to stay away from each other. So?
Mr. McCain’s presidential campaign issued the following statement Wednesday night:
“It is a shame that The New York Times has lowered its standards to engage in a hit-and-run smear campaign. John McCain has a 24-year record of serving our country with honor and integrity. He has never violated the public trust, never done favors for special interests or lobbyists, and he will not allow a smear campaign to distract from the issues at stake in this election.
“Americans are sick and tired of this kind of gutter politics, and there is nothing in this story to suggest that John McCain has ever violated the principles that have guided his career.”
McCain is in my state of Ohio today and told reporters: "I'm very disappointed in the article. It's not true.”
BTW: Did The Times forget to mention the Obama sex scandal?
Larry Sinclair, the Minnesota man who is suing Sen. Barack Obama for issues stemming from Sinclair’s accusations that he did drugs and had a sexual encounter with Obama in the late-1990s, has agreed to take a polygraph test in an effort to prove his allegations.
The mainstream media has largely ignored the story to date, but an acquaintance of the infamous Robert Novak insisted to Big Head DC on Monday that a November column penned by Novak was referring to the Sinclair allegations.
Sinclair has maintained since at least last fall that he used cocaine with Obama and performed a sex act on him in 1999. Sinclair has thus far released several YouTube videos to back up his claims.
Big Head DC has learned that the results of the polygraph are expected to be released before the March 4 primaries.
Gov. Deval Patrick (D-Mass) said during his campaign a year and a half ago that words matter, like "I have a dream" and "all men are created equal." Obama used the same lines Saturday night in Wisconsin. In 1994, Bill Clinton nominated Patrick Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights. He is now the governor of Massachusetts.
Hillary Clinton’s spokesperson accused Obama of plagiarizing Patrick, but Obama says he really doesn't think it's a big deal to use Patrick's words because they share ideas all the time.
But, I think I may have heard those "words" somewhere before? Maybe, Patrick is a plagiarizer too?
Obama in his speech said, “I like to talk”. But, if he likes to talk, can’t he be more original?
An Obamanation
~ by Russ Vaughn
It’s unfair the Obamatons howl,
To charge guilt by association;
Our boy has committed no foul;
He’s just one of the congregation.
While sitting there twenty long years,
As the reverend spewed out his odium,
Naught wafted into those large ears,
But spittle and froth from the podium?
No such tirades did I ever see,
Says Obama now that it’s news;
No rants about AIDS heard by me,
Nor venomous bile aimed at Jews.
You cherry pick dribbles and bites
From sermons of many long years;
You say my preacher hates whites?
My goodness that’s news to my ears!
But a man picks a church like a wife,
As a comfortable mate for his soul,
With commonly shared views of life;
They are parts of the man as a whole.
So Obama is welcome to try
To convince us that his soul is pure,
But it’s just a political lie;
He buys into his preacher’s manure.
Why else then sit in that church pew,
With children and wife at your side?
If you truly do not share the world view,
Of your hate-spewing spiritual guide?
Yet now you denounce Jeremiah,
In your quest for power and station;
He’s a conveniently banished pariah;
Barack, you’re an Obamanation.
