Gianna Jessen is full of life.
"This woman has an incredible will-power and despite having cerebral palsy, as a result of the attempted abortion, she has run the Boston Marathon and even the London Marathon!"
Seems as though Catholic Schools are sliding off course? This is certainly true as liberal administrators at the University of St. Thomas, a Catholic university and private college in Minnesota, censored the appearance of prominent pro-life and black speaker Star Parker. Star—the best-selling author of numerous books—was slated to speak on campus about the devastating impact abortion has on minority communities. UST Vice President of Student Affairs Jane Canney nixed the idea entirely, citing “concerns” that the lecture was being underwritten by Young America’s Foundation. This, even despite students’ advocacy and desire to host Star. While banning Star, they made room for Al Franken and transgender speakers.
At one time, Ms Parker was not happy about Mary Cheney's book, Now It's My Turn: A Daughter's Chronicle of Political Life, or Cheney's insistence that gay marriage has a rightful and, what should be, a legal place in our society:
Cheney effortlessly transforms traditional marriage and family from the core institution on which free society is built into an instrument of oppression.
What would the Pope say about St Thomas nixing Star?

According to The National Education Association (NEA) website, they are the nation's largest professional employee organization, committed to advancing the cause of public education. NEA's 3.2 million members work at every level of education—from pre-school to university graduate programs. NEA has affiliate organizations in every state and in more than 14,000 communities across the United States. As you can see in the logo above, they promote the goal: Great public schools for every child.
After learning about the recent NEA sponsored conference which hosted an abortionist, I wanted to do a posting on it. In doing my research I found RS Redstate's commentary very well done, so I reprinted here:
One has to wonder what a group for public school teachers has to do with abortion. All I can come up with is that the National Education Association assumes teachers' lives can be made easier by simply eliminating the students, especially the more difficult ones. It's bad enough that the NEA actually takes a position on the matter. But the NEA's latest action is beyond the pale.
I first caught this in an article on a pro-life website.
Apparently, the NEA gave the go-ahead to the "Feminist Majority Foundation" (quite an oxymoron in this context) to host a women's "leadership" conference at the NEA's building. Who better to speak on "women's leadership" than "Tiller the Killer?" Never mind the countless women he has scarred for life both emotionally and physically. Never mind the fact that he is one of only three abortionists in the Western Hemisphere currently offering to kill babies up until birth. Never mind that he faces countless charges of violating state abortion laws. Never mind the thousands of children he has poisoned and stabbed to death, half of them the women this bunch wishes to "lead." No, the agenda of death is too crucial to these sadists.
But that isn't all. The group Students for Life in America released a video of Tiller's presentation...the audience was reportedly delighted with the slide show of PICTURES of the babies he killed! We usually see these being presented by those supporting life. But apparently, the sadists at the FMF were quite pleased.
Tiller's comments weren't too surprising. Naturally, he opposed the federal ban on the infanticide of fully-born babies (passed almost unanimously in Congress in 2002) since it may go "against the mother's wishes". He believes insurance companies should not be covering the costs of delivering "badly damaged" babies. Why should he when he gets $20,000 a pop? And it's also no surprise he urged the audience to support whoever wins the Democrat nomination.
How people of all faiths and political persuasions cannot almost unanimously find this to be on par with the Holocaust or slavery or even segregation (in both degree and in number) disturbs and perplexes me beyond belief.
If you watch the video of Tiller's talk, you will see that one of the justifications he gives for abortion is not medical, but rather social-economical. Again, this targets minority women. But matters of race, and the crisis of economic inequality never enter the picture. Since the goal of NEA is to "make public schools great", how is this type of conference accomplishing that? I wonder how welcomed a person with pro-life beliefs would be at NEA?
Abortionist, Dr. Alberto Hodari gave a talk to over 100 medical students at Wayne State University on why he was an abortionist. Dr. Hodari is most infamously known for killing 15 year old, Tamiia Russell. Dr. Hodari performed an abortion on the 6 month pregnant Tamiia on January 7, 2004. She died shortly after from infection and hemorrhaging which resulted from the abortion. In addition, this abortion was performed without her parents’ consent as she had been statutorily raped by her 24 year old boyfriend, Stacy Glenn. Dr Hodari said, "I have a great sense of satisfaction of what I do [giving abortions]". In this clip he states that doctors have a license to lie. Sad to say but, the students laughed.

‘‘Pro-Choice’ Clergy Mark ‘Roe’ Anniversary By ‘Blessing’ Abortion Clinic
By Matthew Balan | January 24, 2008 - 12:50 ET
An article in Wednesday’s Albany Times-Union carried the deceptive title "35 years pass, but not debate: Demonstrations mark 1973 high court ruling affirming right to abortion." Instead of covering any of the various pro-life or pro-choice demonstrations over the past few days, the Times-Union spent the bulk of article discussing a ceremony at a new Planned Parenthood facility in Albany where local clergy "blessed" the clinic. Only two sentences mentioned that "Capital Region activists joined voices with their counterparts nationwide to mark the day" and that the annual March for Life was being held in Washington, DC.
The article, written by Times-Union staff writer Carol DeMare, quoted several "pro-choice" clergy who took part in the "blessing" ceremony. Rev. Larry Phillips of Schenectady, New York's Emmanuel-Friedens Church described the new Planned Parenthood center as "sacred and holy ... where women's voices and stories are welcomed, valued and affirmed; sacred ground where women are treated with dignity, supported in their role as moral decision-makers ... sacred ground where the violent voices of hatred and oppression are quelled."
Thousands march on Washington…MSM yawns
If they were illegal alien activists, they’d get front-page coverage, multimedia packages, and prime time on TV airwaves.
If they were anti-war activists, they’d get front-page coverage, multimedia packages, and prime time on TV airwaves.
They are pro-life activists who marched today to mark the 35th anniversary of Roe v. Wade.
You’ll be lucky to see photos like the one above buried somewhere in the back of your newspaper.
